Greens initial response to SA Government’s Constitutional Reform Proposals: There’s more than 2 parties!

The Greens SA say it's time to end the ongoing saga of the vacant Le Cornu site in North Adelaide, by giving State and Local Governments the power to temporarily acquire land for public purposes.
The proposal for a commercial helipad in the Adelaide Parklands by the banks of the Torrens is an inappropriate privatisation of community land and should be abandoned, according to Mark Parnell MLC, Parliamentary Leader of the Greens SA.

“The Greens have welcomed new spending on public transport including the new Park and Ride stations and the increased frequency on metro rail lines. However, the electrification of the Gawler line seems as elusive as ever with the Government commitment dependent on matching federal funding.”
